Gade 3hp "The Engine That Breathes" (hit and miss)

Was playing with the camera today and in shop messing around, this old fella hadn't run all summer, 3rd crank and off to the races we go, 3hp Gade, high base, serial no. 5308, Patented 1904. The Gade, (pronounced Gaudy) by the way, air cools itself by pulling air in and out of the exhaust port at rear of cyl and the exhaust valve in the head, when it locks the exhaust valve open to govern it , NO FAN,in advertisement,s from the era,1908-11, they say, "The Gade the engine that breathes", just like a human does, exhale,s used hot air, and replace,s it with cool fresh air to cool the engine, just like a human does when breathing. Found at a Big Springs, Mo.farm auction in the 1980,s by my Dad, in a barn, way back in the woods to run a saw.. Sorry about the lighting......
