東山飄雨西山晴1983-15周年香港红勘巡回演唱会LIVE版is one of my all-time Cantonese favorites. The original meldoy, 原曲[蘇州河邊] Riverside Of Soochow 是上海時期陳歌辛先生作曲的作品, popular in the 1930's- 1940's Shanghai, China, has the same melody with different lyrics. This recording is one of the songs in Teresa Teng's 1983 Cantonese album which turned platinum days after it was on sales. This song is about being disappointed at the conscious indiscretion of the former lover and the passion cannot be rekindled even while the old flame now regrets the wrong decision.

This upload is edited from Teresa Tengs 1983 Hong Kong concert. Since the concert clip has a small portion pointing at the spectators, I have edited out that part to make it appear that there is no interruption of Teresa Teng's image in the performance. In addition, due to a glitch on the sound track of the concert clip, I have replaced the entire sound track with a CD track of her 1983 concert from The Ethereal collection of Teresa Number 6 (Cantonese song collection). As a result, I have to re-edit the concert clip to include the opening and the closing moments of the live performance.
