A secluded thatched cottage located five minutes’ drive from Dungloe – An Clochán Liath - on the West Coast of Donegal. The cottage, which boasts a traditional thatched roof, was constructed of modern building methods approximately 20 years ago. Overlooking Dungloe Bay, there is a different view from the large dining area window everyday. From here you have a view across the bay to Crohy Head to the south, Inishfree Island directly opposite the Atlantic Ocean and Aranmore Island to the North West. Seals are seen and heard on the rocks and swimming in the Bay directly in front of the cottage every day All sorts of seabirds frequent the bay and inlet in front of the cottage with pheasants and cuckoos frequent visitors to the grounds of the cottage. In the evening there are the most memorable sunsets from the property.
