Testicular Pain: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

Andkosh में दर्द | Andkosh में सूजन | Varicocele | Hydrocele

Testicular pain can be alarming and is often a symptom of an underlying condition. In this video, I will explain the five most common causes of testicular pain, their symptoms, and available treatments. Whether it's varicocele, infection, torsion, hydrocele, or trauma, understanding these conditions can help you seek timely medical care and prevent complications.

Common Causes of Testicular Pain

Varicocele (Enlarged Veins) – A condition where blood flow in the testicular veins is impaired, leading to dragging pain and heaviness, especially on the left side. Diagnosis is confirmed through an ultrasound, and treatment may involve medication, lifestyle changes, or surgery.

Infection (Bacterial/Viral) – Conditions like epididymo-orchitis can cause swelling, fever, and severe pain. STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia are common bacterial causes, while viral infections like mumps can also lead to testicular swelling.

Testicular Torsion (Medical Emergency) – A twisted testicle can cut off blood supply, causing sudden, intense pain. This is a medical emergency requiring surgery within 6 hours to save the testicle.

Hydrocele (Fluid Buildup) – An accumulation of fluid around the testicle causing swelling and discomfort. Diagnosis is confirmed via ultrasound, and surgery is required in severe cases.

Trauma (Injury-related Pain) – Testicular injuries from sports, accidents, or pressure can damage nerves, leading to persistent pain. Severe trauma may require injections or surgery.
