How to Enter
Fill out the form at https://forms.gle/bE8zXU29piwsUjA89 for one entry. Subscribe for one entry. Comment on videos for one entry per video. For all entry types, the form must be filled out with a valid email, only fill out the form one time. The email is necessary so we can contact you when you have won. The winner will be announced on the channel, but if Philosophy Phriday doesn't have an email for the recipient they will be disqualified. Since it is not possible to get a full list of subscribers, the form will ask if you have subscribed, and the subscriber list used to select winners (see below) will be created from the list of people who say they have subscribed.
How your information will be used
Emails are collected to help preserve the one entry per person rules and to contact winners. YouTube usernames are used, in the event that a comment entry wins, to look up the contact information of the recipient who has won. Information collected from the form will be used for this contest only. Names and addresses collected from the form will be used to ship stickers. Your information (including names, emails, and addresses) will not be used in any other way, will not be sold, and will be destroyed no later than April 1, 2025.
How prizes will be awarded:
1. The list of form responses and the list of subscribers (see above for how this is created) will be stored as two separate lists.
2. A random number generator will generate a number 1, 2, or 3. If the random number generator selects:
- 1 - the recipient for that drawing will be randomly selected (using a random number generator) from the form responses
- 2 - the recipient for that drawing will be randomly selected (using a random number generator) from the list of subscribers
- 3 - the recipient for that drawing will be randomly selected using TubeBuddy's "Pick a Winner" tool from the pool of comments on videos (limit one entry per video).
After a recipient has be chosen, all other entries for that person will be removed from consideration (i.e. if their name is chosen a second time, the drawing for that prize will start over from step 2.)
The dates for each individual prize will be announced on the community page starting from Oct 4 through Jan 17 and the winner will be announced a week later.
How you'll know you've won.
- For all prizes the winner will be announce on a video and in the community tab on ThePhilsophyPhriday channel page. Separately, the winner will be sent an email from Philosophy Phriday announcing they have won. If you see an announcement that you have won, but didn't receive an email please check your spam folder for a message.
- Prizes that go unclaimed for seven days from the public announcement will be removed from the contest or re-awarded at Philosophy Phriday's discretion.
