STOP Falling Too Fast Too Furious

Protect your heart and prevent yourself from falling too fast, too furious with a guy! In this episode I'm sharing 3 techniques that will keep you open but guarded from falling too fast at the same time.

Technique #1: Be Objective. Falling too fast is often a result of building off of a story we've created and validated in our own heads. In order to keep from moving too fast it's important to objectively look at whether or not you're captivated/infatuated by the man or if there's real reason to invest in the romance.

Technique #2: Ask Questions & Communicate Openly
It's important that when you start to feel yourself sliding down the slippery slope of falling too fast that you stop to gauge where the other person is in the process.

Ask questions to determine if you're falling in the wrong direction. (moving too fast towards a person that's not moving towards you) Although emotional verbs are perfectly fine to use, they don't often translate the same way to a guy so try to avoid using terms like "How do you feel?" and "What is it that you want?" Instead offer something more direct like "What do you think about our current pace as far as dating is concerned? Too fast, too slow, just right?

Technique #3: Keep Your Options Open
If all your hopes, dreams, affection, and attention are placed on one guy, falling too fast is an easy thing to do. Instead keep your life completely yours without fixating too much focus on him prematurely.
