Beaver breaking out from under the ice in Orleans 2021 12 19

Here's a video of the beaver breaking through the ice in the storm pond near my house in Orleans Ontario. Years ago we had a beaver in the pond out back of our house that would do this in the winter (he left and lives on the other side of this storm pond now), and I'd never catch him breaching. When I heard that sound I knew what was coming and settled down on a big rock and sure enough .... 😉 at 1:18 of the video he makes the hole big enough to get his rear end though and he comes all the way out.
