Canon 600 & 800mm STM IS F11 (are they good?)

Many are asking me if those lenses are up to the task or even if they are able for birds in flight (BIF) photography..
Well...as you can see in the video they are capable of BIF and much more!
Shooting the moon handheld at 1120mm (800+1.4x teleconverter) was easy.
The lens built in stabilization combined with the 5 stops IBIS of the Canon R5 did wonders.
Still, comparing old school prime lenses like the 300 F4 or the 400 F5.6 to the 600 results in mixed feelings. I would rather prefer the 400 5.6 and crop the images before buying the 600 STM. Fur further distances I would gladly buy the 800mm STM because there is no other cheap alternative out there with IS, ultrasonic focusing motor and this weight and size.
