Blackstone CEO Schwarzman Says Remote Workers Don’t Work as Hard
Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman, whose firm is one of the largest owners of commercial property, said part of the reason workers are proving difficult to lure back to offices is because they enjoy a lighter workload at home. Speaking during a panel discussion at the Future Investment Initiative in Saudi Arabia, Schwarzman said people profited from remote work as “they didn’t work as hard” and saved money on commutes, lunches and work attire.
