The images of the presidents are mostly the presidential portraits from the White House Historical Association. It was challenging to find something to say about each president in several syllables and that would rhyme, so a few are a little lame. I hope it's a fun way for students to learn the presidents!

* CORRECTION: Though Calvin Coolidge made a comment that ‘serving as President for 10 years was way too long’, he was only in the White House for six. My bad.

Chester Arthur wanted civil service problems solved
Grover Cleveland wanted smaller government involved
Tariffs made Benjamin Harrison’s voters flee
So Grover Cleveland had a sequel, 1893

Woodrow Wilson was the president during World War I
Warren Harding had some trouble with his Teapot Dome
More than six years Calvin Coolidge called the White House home

Herbert Hoover had the Great Depression ruin his name
Franklin Roosevelt held four terms and had New Deal fame
Harry Truman ended World War II with the bomb
Dwight Eisenhower, ‘Ike’ was known for being calm
John F. Kennedy didn’t like the Soviet Union much
Lyndon Johnson pursued civil rights, the space race, and such

Richard Nixon opened China but had Watergate
Gerald Ford battled inflation as (president) 38
Jimmy Carter’s policies turned the economy down
Then Ronald Reagan won and turned the US around
George H. Bush, he saw the Cold War end, but tax went higher
Bill Clinton, 42 was troubled by desire
George Bush, the son of 41 had 911
The first black President when Barack Obama won
‘Make America Great Again’ was Donald Trump’s goal
The head of ‘Build Back Better’ is now Joe Biden’s role
