THE MILESTONE INITIATIVE SUMMIT FEATURETTE

DC, Milestone, and Ally are joining forces to change the face of superhero storytelling.

Last year, hundreds of emerging Black and diverse artists and writers applied to participate in the first Milestone Initiative Summit– a one week mentorship program at DC headquarters, where they’d hone the skills that would prepare them for success as creators in the competitive comic book industry. Twenty-four of the most promising up-and-comers were chosen. For many, it was the first time they’d ever been given a shot. A new age of heroes is dawning. It’s time to meet the first class of Milestone Initiative participants.
