The Gombe Chimpanzee War

In the 1970's, researchers observed the Kasakela troop split into a subgroup that never fused with the main group ever again. At some point, some members of the Kasakela troop saw the other subgroup as the "others" and proceeded to eliminate each member over the course of 4 years. In this video, discuss what researchers observed and potentials reasons for the perceived permanent split and subsequence violence.
