••• Q&A •••
Q: I saw that you use the Tamron Zoom instead of a Nikon, any particular reason? Does it work with the Z6?
A: I prever the Tamron because of a few reasons. I think the build quality is better. I managed to destroy the Nikon in Norway when I was photographing musk oxen in the winter. It is probably just a coincidence though. I like the extra reach 150-600 rather than 200-500mm. And then the Tamron is a bit more compact.

Q: Morten are you an Nikon ambassador? Why/why not?
A: No I am not a Nikon Ambassador. I have paid full price for all my camera and lenses. I do not want to be an ambassador for any brand if it means I have to use only their products. I want to be able to use what makes sense to me for the current project I am working on.

Q: How to successfully deal with manual focusing in wildlife photography?
A: That is a big question. I am answering part of it in the following video.

Q: Is it where you lives ? Or is it a set for your video?
A: This is where I live.

Q: What camera do you use in this video?
A: I am filming with the Nikon Z6 and then I have a Z6 and a D850 on my table.

Q: Why don't you have subtitles?
A: The problems with subtitles is that my english is not good enough for the ones created automatically by YouTube. Often the translation doesn't make sense at all and sometimes when I say Fox - guess what it is translated into... And I do not have the time to make these translations myself.
Maybe I will find a solution in the future.

Q: Is there an exercise, similar to the second one, that can be used when the camera is mounted on a tripod?
A: Basically the same exercise but just without taking the camera down. Just loosen your ballhead and then do the same thing by putting your eyes to the view finder. Another great exercise for the tripod is to "walk around the tripod" while keeping your focus point on the "target". That is very useful for panning and following moving subjects since it can be very challenging to get around the tripod in a fluent movement.

Q: how many coffees per day do you drink?
A: I have no idea. Not that many actually. Probably 3 or something like that..

Q: What is the name of your Tripod?
A: It is a Gitzo G1348. I have had it for more than 10 years and they do not make it anymore.

Q: why do you put tape over your strap buckle?
A: To prevent it from slipping and to avoid scratching my camera.
