US National Guard confronts Los Angeles protesters
Protesters have clashed with members of the National Guard in downtown Los Angeles.
US President Donald Trump had dispatched 300 members of the National Guard, which overrode state authority, much to the chagrin of California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Protestors threw rocks and other items at ICE agents and vehicles.
The National Guard arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday with a promise from National Border Czar Tom Homan that the federal government would "crack down" on unrest in the city.
