Based on a book by Maggie Siggins, Revenge of the Land is a tale of greed, lust and romance set in Saskatchewan, Canada. Ambitious John Hawk (Kenneth Welsh) cons the Indians of their land allocations and forecloses on other locals, also for their land. The railroad is coming and he is set to make millions. However, romance blossoms between his son and their housemaid, who happens to be the daughter of one of the locals who has lost his land to Hawk…

Adapté du roman de Maggie Siggins, Revenge of the Land est un récit campé en Saskatchewan où se mêlent cupidité, désir et romance. John Hawk (Kenneth Welsh), un homme particulièrement ambitieux, soutire par escroquerie des terres aux Amérindiens en plus de saisir celles d’habitants locaux. La raison : le chemin de fer s’en vient, et il s’apprête à empocher des millions de dollars. Or, son fils s’éprend de leur bonne, qui s’adonne à être la fille de l’un des résidents locaux dont le terrain a justement été saisi par Hawk…
