ALL SAMSUNG GALAXY PHONES: PROBLEMS/ERRORS WITH UPDATING SOFTWARE

If you are experiencing the software update message that reads, "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available", then try this easy one step method. Basically you have a rooted phone and by downloading Samsung Kies and hooking up your Samsung Galaxy phone to it, it will unroot your firmware and make it an official Samsung firmware so you can update.

Note that it is wise to backup your data as I am not responsible should anything go wrong.

In the past I had to unroot, download my original firmware and download Odin and Samsung Kies. But now for some reason I only had to download Samsung Kies. I hope this saves you alot of extra work. I did this on my S3, S4, and my S5 with success.
