Jimmy Lemara | The Lion of Ol - Kinyei | Promo S2. E2

The lions of Ol Kinyei tells the story of a local community that has pioneered a unique conservation model to save lions. 240 landowners in the Maasai Mara ecosystem gave up their grazing land to create Ol - Kinyei Conservancy which is over 18,000 acres.

The hero, Jimmy Lemara, is an expert on lions and a member of this community. Lions are an endangered species in Kenya. Threats facing lions include human-wildlife conflict and retaliatory killings, loss of their land and their prey and new pride male lions killing the cubs.
