Mahatma Gandhi's experiments in Ahimsa and Politics ultimately turned out to be colossal failures. Vinay Krishna Chaturvedi aka Tufail Chaturvedi is with Sanjay Dixit to discuss whether it was due to bad luck or whether they were doomed to fail right from the inception as they were alien to the Indian culture. MKG tried to impose his own personal fetishes over the population, which climaxed into Hindu massacres and partition. Main reason for this was that though he went over backwards to appease the Muslim clergy, they always treated him as a Kafir, and gave him no respect, even when they used him.
