In this video I will show you Minatomirai , Shinko Central Square, Red brick warehouse, beautiful Zuo-no-hana park, amazing modern architecture of Oshanbashi Pier, and mesmerizing night view of Minatomirai skyline. In Minatomirai area I will show you Yokohama Landmark Tower, Queen Square, Yokohama Cosmo World. This Yokohama Landmark Tower is the tallest building of yokohama. In Landmark Tower, you will get the second fastest elevator in Japan. It will take you to the Sky Garden Observatory on its 69th floor in just 40 sec. Paying 1000 yen for the observatory You can see a panoramic view of whole yokohama and mount fuji. Shinko Central Square...This is a beautiful open space between Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama World Porters. As it’s rainy season so now it’s time to bloom ajisai hydrangea. In 1920 this red brick house was a custom inspection, house for Yokohama bay’s shipping activities. Now it is converted into one of Yokohama's most popular family and date spots. This complex is divided into two buildings. Both of the buildings are three-storied. Throughout the year several events are organized here outside of the building. But now in the month of June 2020, due to the Corona Virus pandemic situation, there are no public events. From Red brick warehouse Pier. You can take a Sea-bus, Cruise Restaurant Ship, Yokohama Port Sightseeing Ship from here and can enjoy the spectacular view of the entire area. The East Wharf was constructed in 1867 and named as Zou-no-hana. In Japanese “Zou” means Elephant and “hana” means nose. So it is like elephants Nose. To get a better view of the place you need to go Zou-no-hana Cafe.
Oshanbashi pier was reconstructed between 1988 and 2002. It is designed by two Uk based architects. The main characteristic of the design is that you will hardly find a straight line in the whole structure. It’s like a natural wave flow. This innovative beam- and column-free steel structure of Osanbashi Pier was built at a cost of 23 billion yen. The newly reconstructed passenger terminal is named as Yokohama International Passenger Terminal. There is a parking facility on the 1st floor, and a curved observation deck that is open to the public on the rooftop. On the second floor, you can find the departure and arrival lobby, ticketing booth, customs and immigration, a large hall for events, shops, and cafes. I am showing you the evening and night view both. Here wooden planks are used in such a creative way that it looks like a solar panel. Osanbashi is famous for its great view. You can see three famous towers of Yokohama King, Queen, and Jack from here. It is the best place to take a picture of the whole Minatomirai skyline. From the top position, you can see Yamashita Park area, Marine Tower in one side, and on the other side you can see modern developed Minatomirai, Red brick warehouse. From osanbashi pier you can see Yokohama Bay Bridge. It is a two-layered cable-stayed bridge. From Oshanbashi this night view is just magical. Twinkling lights of the bay area will make you spellbound.
