The fifth game in the Haruhi Suzumiya series and the first for the Nintendo DS. It was originally scheduled to be released on March 26, 2009 at the same time as "Haruhi Suzumiya's Parallel" for the Wii, but only this title was postponed.

The story is divided into chapters based on the Seven Wonders of the School, and the audio is not fully voiced, basically only the opening and closing of each chapter.

The game is not intended to be a scary game, but there are some scenes that are somewhat mysterious.

As mentioned above, the game is closely related to "Parallel" in that it was originally planned to be released at the same time, the title names are related, there is common background music, and there is a common element called "topic." The name "Mikoto Misumaru," an original character from "Parallel," appears in the monologue at the beginning.

A campaign (Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekido and Suzumiya Haruhi no Parallel) was also held for the three games, including this one, which were released at about the same time on the Wii.
