They say Odessa, a sunny place for shady people. It's true that there is a lot of shady business going on, but that doesn't take away any of the flair the city has to offer. Totally untouched by european tourists you can indulge in the local culture. English is not too common, so if you know a few basic words in russian it will get you easier around.
