I was browsing Aliexpress shortly after New Years and decided to buy the cheapest clays I could find. I was curious to see how well they compare to the other brands I use. To my surprise, most of these were actually very effective and easy to use. So if you don't mind long shipping times and a tiny bit of risk (eg one clay that came dried up) then Aliexpress is a great place for bargain craft supplies.

CAT CLAY

- Fluffy texture designed for cakes, cookies or bread
- Medium elasticity
- Easy to texture
- Difficult to smooth with water. Tends to dissolve into a white paper fibre residue

MONSTER CLAY

- Not very elastic but surprisingly stable when pressed very flat
- Easy to texture
- Best all-rounder budget clay and good value for money for large packaging size

CHICKEN CLAY
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000330319580.html
- Extremely elastic, can be stretched into strings
- Dries very quickly
- Texture similar to foam rubber
- Very difficult to texture

SMALL CLAY
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33026449069.html
- Very similar to monster clay but in smaller packaging
- Slightly more elastic
- Extremely good for making thin flower petals
- One clay arrived completely dried up

MYSTERY CLAY (Very late to arrive, testing this one on TikTok)
