Using the new Toy Story 4 Toys, we created a Toy Story 4 Stop Motion. We did our best to recreate the Toy Story 4 Trailer. The entire video has been shot with real toys from Mattel, Lego, and Thinkway. We absolutely love Toy Story and thought it would be cool to use the toys to recreate the biggest moments in the trailers. We also chose scenes that would be perfect for stop motion animation. We primarily used the basic action figures from Mattel since they have a fair amount of articulation. For more challenging scenes we had to use more articulated toys like Epic Moves Bo Peep. This project presented a unique challenge. It took 3 months to complete. The characters had to walk, jump, and fly. A variety of rigs were constructed to support the characters. The rigs had to be erased on every frame. While the trailer is not a shot for shot recreation, it is heavily inspired after the real Toy Story 4 trailer. This is our very first stop motion animation so we have a lot to learn. Still, we had a lot of fun making it. We hope you enjoy it!
