Injured climber rescued by National Guard helicopter on Mt. Hood
The morning of Saturday, July 2 a 43-year-old Happy Valley man fell several hundred feet while climbing Mt. Hood, suffering serious injuries. The injured climber was eventually picked up by an Oregon Army National Guard helicopter and flown to a Portland hospital.
