How to Log Data to an SD Card using NORVI GSM ESP32 Based Industrial Controller | SD Data Logging |
In this video, we demonstrate how to use the NORVI-GSM-AE04-V-G Industrial Controller with SD card support for efficient data logging. We utilize an 8GB SD card to store data, but larger capacity cards can also be used depending on the application's requirements. The code is designed to create a CSV file for each day, naming it with the current date, and logging data along with timestamps.
The timestamps are generated using the controller's built-in RTC (Real-Time Clock), ensuring accurate time-based data entries. This solution is ideal for scenarios where Wi-Fi or GSM connectivity is unavailable, as the data can be logged locally. Once connectivity is restored, the data can be uploaded to an SQL database or sent via an API.
