DeLorean w/ Corvette LS1 V8 Engine
A quick tour of my DeLorean with a corvette engine. This car has had the original 2.8L PRV engine removed and a 5.7L LS1 V8 engine has been swapped in.
The car was also featured on an Episode of CAR FIX on Velocity during which Lingenfelter Heads and a Lingenfelter camshaft was installed. Click the link at the beginning to see the car on the dyno, or click the link at the end of the video to see the full CAR FIX episode (unfortunately there is a $1.99 cost to see the whole episode). The final result was 425hp at the rear wheels of the car.
Also, to everyone saying that the oil pan is dangerously low, it is just an illusion. It is slightly lower than the stock engine, however; the oil pan is no lower than the engine cradle section of the frame. Here is a photo of a straight edge on the frame; in order to scrape the oil pan, I would first have to scrape the frame:
