In video from the Australian Reptile Park in Somersby, New South Wales, keepers delicately cut through the white bag with a scalpel.

Revealing more than 100 healthy new eight-legged babies into the world, the mini-arachnids spread out over a petri dish.

The funnel-web spiders are bred to milk the venom which is subsequently used to create anti-venom distributed to Australian hospitals.
