Victoria bounces back to become Australia’s strongest economy
New analysis suggests Victoria is now Australia’s strongest economy.
CommSec’s quarterly ‘State of the States’ report reveals Victoria has skyrocketed from fifth on the ladder to first.
The state’s performance was strong across all eight indicators, including economic growth and population growth.
South Australia is the second best-performing economy ahead of New South Wales and Queensland.
Victoria’s Deputy Premier Ben Carroll said, “Goes to show that a lot of the investments we’ve been making over a long period are really showing and paying dividends”.
