RV How To:Step Above RV Steps Repaired and Modified

Our Kodiak Ultra Light travel trailer come equipped with the MorRyde Step Above rv steps installed. The problem I have noticed over the past three years with these steps are the rivets that hold the upper swinging bracket to the steps frame are a week point and keep breaking, causing an unsafe situation. Since there are 4 rivets holding the two pieces together it never failed on us but after the last trip one more rivet broke loose so I decided to fix it.
I drill out the rivets and holes using a 1/4" drill bit and install some 1/4' stainless steel hardware to provide a strong and permanent repair to this problem.
I'll even show you another modification I made to the two support legs to give them more adjustability so come on in the shop and watch some simple machining being performed.
