Parker and Chloe Forever

Greg Stott has been my best friend since we were 5 years old. He is a rock, and he has never surrendered to anything. Mentally and physically elite. But the pain & despair in what he texted me during the ride home just after saying their goodbyes to Parker devastated me because I knew he had lost his will to battle forward. A person can only take so much and I honestly don’t know how he had made it 3 days before reaching bottom.

After gathering myself, I called his phone to just tell him I love him and will be there to try and help carry the load, but I knew that wouldn’t be enough, and I was terrified to find out I was right. But when he picked up, it wasn’t a defeated sounding “hey”…and he proceeded to tell me about that final day with his oldest son. I had to stop him and ask what had changed in the last 15 minutes; I told him it sounds like he has some “spring in his step” again. He laughed and then told me he had actually just used those same words, then described their homecoming.

This video is the greatest display of love & support I’ve ever seen, and more importantly, it brought one of the most important people in my life back to the surface. I love this Gilbert, AZ community.
