Visiting Skookumchuck Narrows and Finding AMAZING RV Boondocking
We found some EPIC RV Boondocking / RV free camping up a CRAZY forest service road! We also took the ferry to Earl's Cove and saw the FAMOUS standing wave at Skookumchuck Narrows. We're off to RV travel the other half of the Sunshine Coast and see where RV living takes us next!
These were some of our favorite days full time RV living yet. After a busy morning and JUST catching the ferry to our next Sunshine Coast location, we headed up a super narrow forest service road. Unfortunately we didn't find any RV camping at the lake but we did find a great boondocking site right by our next adventure location, Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park.
When visiting Skookumchuck Narrows, timing the tide change right can make or break your experience, and the lunar cycle plays a big roll in how it turns out as well. Lucky for us we hit the perfect lunar cycle, and got there right at hide tide and during the sunset Golden hour. We saw the most amazing standing wave, and kayakers playing in it. Awesome. This should definitely be on your list of must sees if RV traveling or visiting the Sunshine Coast of British Coulmbia, Canada.
The next day we then went up a beautiful forest service road to do a little Class C RV boondocking. Thankfully boondocking Canada, or at least BC is so easy with these forest service roads. It may have been one of our favorite RV free camping spots ever, we ended up spending 3 nights in our secluded forest camping spot. A reason why it's one of our favorites in our Canada RV travel series is because it was remote, yet had cell service/data, shaded and yet sunny views of the green clear cut, and it was free saving us at least $50+! While Class C RVing, we've been trying to balance paid and free camping for our Class C RV budget, but this spot was better than a paid site even with it's privacy.
Thanks for joining the RV vlog and us in our Class C RV Living adventures friends! Hope you enjoyed today's video as much as we did RV vlogging and sharing it with you all. Hopefully it gave you some good insight into the RV lifestyle and what it's like RVing in Canada as well. Until next vlog, when we WRAP UP (!!!) RVing The Sunshine Coast friends,
Luke and Alysha
