It is enough to return to the city streets to find traditional handicrafts from the Ore Mountains or Meissen porcelain in cozy shops.
Anyone who has never been to Dresden has never made a real trip around the world. "There is no such thing as a proverb, but a trip to the capital of Saxony should really be on everyone's bucket list, as Dresden has some of the most beautiful sights that Germany has to offer. The Frauenkirche, the Semperoper and the Dresden Zwinger alone would be reason enough to take a city trip to Dresden, but there is so much more to see here. Those who like it a little more urban, on the other hand, can simply get lost in Dresden Neustadt, which forms an absolute contrast to the old town. All in all, Dresden is definitely worth a trip - especially because it's so close.
