Herzog de Meuron - Museum 20. Jahrhundert in Berlin

15/11/2017. The Academy of Arts in Berlin organized a roundtable discussion with the architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, who in 2016 won the competition for the new Museum at the Kulturforum in Berlin, the Museum of the 20th Century or now called Nationalgalerie 20 (NG20).
In a 28 minute presentation, Jacques Herzog presents the ideas and concepts of how he and his partner De Meuron came to their final design. The idea for the controversial pitched roof ("Aldi supermarket") is explained.
