Hazara Motorway or M-15 Motorway is a 180 kilometer controlled-access motorway linking the Burhan Interchange near Hasan Abdal in Punjab province with Haripur, Havelian, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Shinkiari, Battagram, and Thakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The project is divided into 7 packages; the first four (from Burhan to Mansehra) are already completed and were inaugurated on 27 December 2017 & 18 November 2019. The motorway is not being financed by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, but will instead be financed by the Asian Development Bank,(#2 )along with a Rs10.021 billion (US$71 million) grant from the United Kingdom. Syed Zaheer ul Islam (Commissioner Hazara Division) said that 78.78 percent work has been completed on Mansehra to Thakot section. This section would likely to be completed by end of May 2020 depends on COVID-19. The motorway starts from Havelian, passes through Abbottabad, Mansehra and Shinkiari, and ends at Thakot. The Motorway has five tunnels two at Abbottabad and one each at Battal, Karmong and Mansehra. Up to Haripur it is six-lane controlled access while from Havelian to Mansehra portion is four lanes. Mansehra-Thakot section has 2 lanes.

اس منصوبے کو 7 پیکجوں میں تقسیم کیا گیا ہے۔ پہلے چار (برہان سے مانسہرہ) پہلے ہی مکمل ہوچکے ہیں اور ان کا افتتاح 27 دسمبر 2017 ، 18 نومبر 2019 کو ہوا تھا اور آخری 3 حصوں کا افتتاح جولائی 2020 میں ہوا تھا۔ حسن ابدال اور حویلین سیکشن کو ایشین ڈویلپمنٹ بینک نے مالی اعانت فراہم کی تھی 2 ساتھ برطانیہ کی طرف سے 10.021 بلین (60 ملین امریکی ڈالر) کی گرانٹ کے ساتھ 3 جبکہ حویلیاں سے شنکیاری اور شنکیاری سے تھاٹکوٹ سیکشن موٹر وے کے حصے کو چین پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری کے تحت مالی اعانت فراہم کی گئی 4۔

موٹروے حویلیاں سے شروع ہوتی ہے ، ایبٹ آباد ، مانسہرہ اور شنکیاری سے ہوتی ہوئی تھیکوٹ پر اختتام پذیر ہوتی ہے۔ موٹر وے کی پانچ سرنگیں دو ایبٹ آباد میں اور ایک ایک بٹال ، کارمونگ اور مانسہرہ میں ہے۔ ہری پور تک یہ چھ لین پر قابو پانے والی رسائی ہے جبکہ حویلیاں سے مانسہرہ تک چار لین ہے۔ مانسہرہ ۔کوٹ سیکشن میں 2 لائنیں ہیں۔
