Amelia Island Museum of History Holiday Home Tour 2013

Welcome to 17 South 7th Street, one of five private homes featured by Amelia Island Museum of History in the 7th Annual Holiday Home Tour, December 6-7, 2013.

According to the Amelia Island Museum of History-
This home was constructed in 1872 and known as "Lucy Cottage". This was the residence of Lucy Thompson, sister to William Naylor Thompson, Florida senator and railroad man. Designed by architect John Hedges, this is one of three homes built adjacent to each other for Thompson family members and noteworthy for its decorative barge board and false dormers.
Considered the inaugural celebration of the Fernandina festive yuletide season, the Holiday Home Tour will showcase five vintage private homes decorated by professional florists and designers in the Historic District of Fernandina Beach.
The "Lucy Cottage" was decorated by Julia Hall of Julia Hall Interiors http://www.juliahallinteriors.com
