Alpha & Omega: Wolf Dominance Behaviour / Dominanzverhalten / Fighting, submission, cooperation

Wolf Dominanz Verhalten (dt. s.u.) // des loups.
The feeding of the wolves in the local zoo was quite peaceful, but afterwards one could observe some WOLF DOMINANCE BEHAVIOUR with 'Goldie' in his usual role as 'omega'. This is not that common; but in some periods of the year, the pack leader, Whitey, is showing his dominance. Four European Grey Wolves (the father and his three cubs, now aged 9 yrs.!): There has been increasing tension in the past days, and 'acting alpha' Whitey clearly displays his dominance against his father Bolek and his two twin brothers, Goldie and Kleiner. There has already been some signs of excitement and tensions while the four were desperately waiting for their dinner, but immediately after feeding time Whitey attacks Bolek. (One mustn't forget that more 'enrichment activities' might be useful to avoid these activities; some of them might be down to boredom...).
DE---Beobachtung der europäischen Wölfe im Tiergarten Worms am 27.12.: "Rudelchef" Whitey demonstriert seine dominante Rolle vor und nach der Fütterung gegenüber seinen beiden Brüdern Goldie und dem Kläänen, sowie v.a. gegenüber seinem Vater, Bolek.
