Mercury Vortex

Ok, I was doing some electrolysis on a ball of metallic liquid mercury metal, in a special salt water solution, and I discovered this very strange effect! The water started spinning like crazy, and forming a vortex and vortices! It also started behaving weirdly.. in that some smaller beads or balls of mercury would shoot off the bigger ball, and travel toward the positive electrode, as if they were electrically charged or something? Is this some kind of hydrodynamic instability formed between the lighter liquid water, and the heavy metal mercury when electricity is applied? Didn't the Nazi Bell experiment use rotating mercury, in their bizarre anti-gravity experiments? Could there be something something strange going on, when you combine liquid metal mercury with electricity?? We will see!??
