Synopsis: A young woman explores her inner mental life, its beauty and its terror.

Synopsis (More): Madeline enters a relaxed meditative state in a candle-lit bathtub, and envisions herself walking alone in a strange corridor, and also alone on city streets.
The action is set to the rhythm of Chromatics’ 2019 cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” (1964). Paul Simon wrote the song in his bathroom at 21 years of age. Art Garfunkel has said the song is about, "the inability of people to communicate with each other… emotionally.” Mike Nichol’s used the original in The Graduate (1967) to portray the alienated feelings of protagonist, Benjamin, portrayed by Dustin Hoffman. This music video is born out of the desire to portray those same feelings of another graduate in modern times.
