Four years since China initiated the integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the development of the Xiong’an New Area, the scheme is experiencing a year of growth. Coinciding with its 4th year, the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will soon begin. People at home and abroad will be focusing more on constitutional amendments, economic restructuring, and in-depth reform and the opening up of the Chinese economy, than on regional integration.
