The measurement problem in a signal analysis perspective, at IQOQI, Vienna, March 17th, 2021

With many thanks to Martin Bohmann for the invitation to give it, this talk weaves signal analysis into how we think about quantum and classical mechanics and how we think about quantum and random fields.
Although the embedding of signal analysis into almost every slide is new throughout, the part of the talk that is completely new is a discussion of the collapse of the quantum state, starting at 24:56, the mathematics of which can be found in the paper "The collapse of a quantum state as a signal analytic sleight of hand", https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.10931.
