How did she do it?
-----------------------------

Step 1.
-----------
Jessica sectioned baby lights, foiling them with Drench conditioner; a technique she uses so that she doesn't need to highlight the hair after the whole process, potentially damaging it. The idea is to keep them foiled throughout the process and tone them later after the fill, and deposit of brown colour.

Step 2.
-----------
After foiling a small section of baby lights, she then mixed a colour fill (7/43 Colour Touch.) The fill is important, as bleached hair needs a pigment for the brown to cling to. Adding brown colour to lightened hair would result in green hair, as there is no underlying pigment.

Step 3.
-----------
After the fill was left to process, it was then washed out, still keeping the foils intact. She washed the hair with a hydrating shampoo, that is safe for colour treated hair ( Elements by Wella)

Step 4.
-----------
The hair is dried, prepping it for the deposit of colour!

Step 5.
-----------
Jessica fully saturated the hair using 5/1 with a pinch of 2/0 Colour Touch by Wella.
After applying it she allowed her client to process for 25 minutes.

Step 6.
-----------
She pulled the foils out of the hair, rinsing all of the colour off, and then applied her toner (7/1 8/0 colour touch)
As the toner toned the brown colour to an ashy brown, it also toned the saved baby lights to a deep grey, ashy colour, complimenting the colour beautifully.

Steps 7-8-9
------------------
After allowing the toner to sit for 15 minutes, she then washed, dried and style the hair, adding a little bit of Craft Clay by Sebastian, to add a bit of edge. Jessica is known for giving her clients a lived-in look, and that’s exactly what this new colour needed.
