A Ray of Hope: Organ Donation by Donate Life amidst the Biparjoy Cyclone

Between powerful cyclone 'Biparjoy' in Gujarat, today once again, one more organ donation was done through Donate Life from Maitreya Multi Superspeciality Hospital Surat.

Heart, Liver, Kidney and Corneas have been donated from Maitreya Multi Superspeciality Hospital Surat through Donate Life.

Along with this donations till date Donate Life has successfully contributed to donation of 1141 organs and tissue with 472 Kidney, 203 Liver, 47 Heart, 36 Lungs, 8 Pancreas, 1 Intestine, 4 Hands and 370 Corneas giving new lease of life and vision to 1048 organ failure patients in our country and globe.

We salute the family members of Late Dayanand Shivji Varma age 42 for their brave decision to donate the vital organs of their beloved after doctors declared him brain dead.

Heart transplantation was done at Sir H.N.Reliance Hospital, Mumbai.

Liver transplantation will be done at Zydus Hospital Ahmedabad.

Two Kidney transplantation will be done at Ahmedabad.

Corneas were donated to Lokdhrasti Chaksu Bank Surat.

We are very much thankful to Doctors and Management of Maitreya Multi Superspeciality Hospital Surat for their wholehearted support to this noble cause.

Special thanks to Surat City Police for providing Green Corridor. This was 99 Green Corridor provided by Surat City Police.
