Today I am working on a long awaited project of a DIY faux fireplace mantel. Because i already had a bunch of scrap wood on hand I only had to purchase two items! You can make something similar by thinking outside the box and reusing things or getting item off of Facebook marketplace or craigslist. An antique mantel like this would have easily cost hundreds of dollars. Hope this gives you some inspiration to create your own.
