Over 20 years ago, Dana Wilson discovered the world of sisterlocks! She was seeking an easy solution that would allow her to maintain her hair while in the military and sistelocks became the answer. This led her to understand the needs of natural hair and especially the optimal way to care for locs. Dana's mission to educate and assist others with haircare came about when she began to notice her own hair was thinning. She went to see a trichologist and was told to get a blood test!

I think we all forget at times that our hair is growing internally. There is an entire biological ecos that is responsible for assisting our hair to grow. Dana discovered that she had fibroids and several vitamin deficiencies. She changed her diet, worked to shrink her fibroids, and maintained other healthy practices to get her hair back on track!
