Studio Go Boom with Sylvia Massy - Ep. 2 (Germanium Transistors) | EarthQuaker Devices

Let’s just reach into the cooler and… Sylvia is back at it, putting everyday items through the tests of tone! Everyday items being Park Fuzz Sound and Afterneath of course! You use these pedals every-dang-day, right? For those of you not in “the know”, Germanium transistors are sensitive to temperature and can yield varying tonal results depending on whether they are hot or cold. She knows this all too well and has decided to run a demonstration with a single Roland key tone into a Park Fuzz on ice, at room temperature, and also heated with a Conair. Afterneath is here simply for moral support and to remind you to get weird. Lest we forget to have FUN when we record! This exciting adventure in sound capture has been brought to you by your friend Sylvia Massy, who else!?
