How to identify "fake" battery and interconnect cable.

Watch out for imitation battery and inverter connection cable, often sold in stereo shops and online for less $$ than quality copper cable. The imitation stuff looks cool, but it's not copper and it won't carry as much current (without resistance and heat) as all-copper cable will. The aluminum stuff will often be called "CCA", for copper clad aluminum.

When cut, copper cable will look like copper all the way through on the end. The other stuff will have a shiny silver color in the center. IF the weight doesn't give it away, the color should.
