Fire Medics Trailer

SMFR Public Information Officers regularly provide facts and images pertaining to the most newsworthy incidents across the district, but did you know that fires and special operations calls make up just 3% of South Metro’s total call volume? While our focus on high risk, low frequency incidents will continue, we’re expanding our storytelling to include what SMFR responds to most, emergency medical incidents. Medical calls account for 65% of South Metro’s call volume and while those calls rarely make the news, each one is impactful for our community members who call 911.

With the help of patients who allowed us to share their experiences, SMFR is taking viewers behind the scenes and into our ambulances where Fire Medics provide medical treatment and compassion. These videos will show our community how SMFR’s highly trained Paramedic Firefighters use their expertise and state of the art equipment to save lives.
