Valtra S233 & potato planting train | One pass spading, planting & ridging

Potato planting with a brand new outfit from Dutch contractor Fa. van Donkersgoed in 26th of March. A Valtra T233 has an Imants subsoiler on the front and an Imants rotary spader and brand new Miedema CP 42 potato planter on the back. The planter is fitted with a ridging hood and Erosion Stop system.

On the front the potato planting train first applies granular K followed by liquid N. On the back micro granule P is added and Moncereen to protect the seed. The Erosion Stop system is used so that no water run off occurs when it rains heavily or when the crop is irrigated. The outfit was planting it's first field of the season when we filmed this and is working on the headlands.
