Rep. Eskamani Speaks in Favor of an Amendment on HB433

Another bill that was heard this week (but was temporarily postponed due to lack of time) was HB433. This bill was already going to pre-empt all local ordinances on Heat Stress Protection for outdoor workers, but then it was amended to also eliminate wage requirements within government contracts. This was my debate in favor of an amendment that would have removed the preemption on Heat Stress Protections.

I wholeheartedly oppose this bill.
