Monticello July 4 Celebration with Misty Copeland
On July 4, 2024, Charlottesville Ballet celebrated Independence Day on the steps of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, alongside Misty Copeland, the first-ever Black woman to serve as keynote speaker at the annual Naturalization Ceremony. Over 70 new U.S. citizens were welcomed, with the powerful reminder that dance is a universal language, meant for EveryBODY.
